Alison joined The Law Offices of Sonja B. Selami, P.C. in July of 2019. Alison obtained her Bachelors Degree in Paralegal Studies from Roger Williams College in 1986 with a minor in Business Administration and graduated from New England School of Law in 1991. While at New England, she won the AmJur Award for Family Law during her third year.
Alison has worked in real estate since 1992, continuing a family tradition of working in real estate. Her grandfather was a builder and her father worked in the commercial real estate field. She has extensive experience in title examination and title review as well as conducting closings for refinances and purchases. During her years as a title examiner, Alison was also a manager for one title company and a registry manager for another company. In those roles, Alison was responsible for assigning and collecting work from other examiners, ensuring delivery of the reports to the clients and maintaining tight deadline schedules.
Alison also spent 13 years in the foreclosure field. She was responsible for reviewing titles, identifying issues and working with various title companies as well as outside firms to get resolutions to the title issues. Alison also gained extensive knowledge about New Hampshire real estate as she was the sole attorney responsible for reviewing New Hampshire titles.
Alison lives in Lowell, MA and likes to spend time with her family and friends, is an avid music fan and cheers on the hometown sports teams, especially the Patriots.
